CONSECRATION 2026

At the beginning of every year, we have a special time set aside for prayer and fasting. We want to set the tone for the year and be intentional in focusing on the Lord and what He is saying and doing. This year, our theme is “BELIEVE” .

We are living in a critical time in history. Our nation, the body of Christ, and our local church are all in a pivotal season. We want to consecrate ourselves afresh to God and prepare for what He has in store. We anticipate and prepare for the Holy Spirit to move and speak in fresh ways during these 21 Days of Consecration!

What is Consecration?

Consecration means "to declare something to be holy and/or to personally commit to be completely dedicated to the Lord. ” The word is similar to the word “sanctify” – meaning ‘to set apart for God alone.’

Scripture References for Consecration?

Romans 12:1:
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

I Corinthians 6:19-20:
“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit…and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price… ”

Hebrews 13:20-21:
“Now the God of peace…make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ … ”

Ephesians 2:10:
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. ”

FASTING

Abstaining from Food in Some Way During These 21 Days

What is Fasting?

Fasting is abstaining from food or drink in some way. Fast one meal per day, one day per week, a certain food, caffeine, or whatever you feel led to do."

Fasting Information and Instructions

Fasting is abstaining from food, water, or pleasurable things for a period of time for the purpose of consecration of oneself to the Lord. The reason for fasting is to tune out the flesh and focus on the Spirit. Fasting helps us bring our natural appetites into submission so that we can be tuned in to God. Romans 8 tells us that “as many as are led by the Spirit, they are the sons of God. ”

Therefore, we fast to bring our hearts and minds into focused obedience to the Word and voice of God in our lives. Because of this, during our 21-Day consecration, we will be following a schedule that includes fasting.

Advice on Fasting

You can choose multiple days in a row or spread them out if you prefer. You are also welcome to fast as many days as you would like during this time frame. If, for health concerns, you have to split your time up even more, that is fine. Our goal is to consecrate our hearts to God. Remember Col 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, do it heartily unto the Lord and not unto men. ” Fasting is not about going on a hunger strike to get the attention of God. You already have His attention! Rather, fasting is a way that we prepare ourselves to hear from God.

Prayer is a crucial part of consecration because it provides the spiritual purpose, transforming mere abstinence into a focused time of deep communion, seeking guidance, expressing sincere desire, and aligning one's will with God's, with fasting creating the time and intensity for prayer to break through spiritual obstacles and foster a closer relationship with God. Included in this manual is a devotional guide that will assist you in creating a systematic daily time of prayer during these 21 days.

21 - Day Devotional

A Call to Consecration

Scripture: Joel 2:12-13

God’s call to consecration is a call to return; not halfway, not casually, but with our whole hearts. Consecration is not about religious effort; it is about spiritual alignment. When we set ourselves apart, we position ourselves for what God wants to do next. Before God does something new through us, He does something deep in us.

Prayer: “Lord, I return to You fully . Take my life and use me for your glory . I surrender my will to yours, and I will walk in your purpose for my life."

Declaration: I consecrate myself to God.

Set Apart for His Purpose

Scripture: Romans 12:1–2

Consecration means we no longer allow the world to shape our thinking or our values. We offer our lives to God as living sacrifices; available, yielded, and willing. Transformation follows surrender.

Prayer: “Renew my mind, Lord. Help my thoughts to be fixed on those things that lead to your purpose for my life. ”

Declaration: I am set apart for God’s purpose.

Building on the Right Foundation

Scripture: Matthew 7:24–25

BELIEVE begins with building. Storms reveal the strength of the foundations. Consecration strengthens our obedience to God’s Word so that when storms come, our lives remain standing.

Prayer: “Lord, build my life on the Rock of your salvation. Help me to build my life upon the foundation of Your Word, prayer, and the things that will sustain me through the storms that will come  my way."

Declaration: My foundation is Christ.

Hungering for God

Scripture: Psalm 42:1–2

Fasting awakens spiritual hunger. As physical appetite decreases, spiritual appetite increases. God fills what hunger creates.

Prayer: “Stir my hunger for You, Lord. Help me today to be filled with your Word and Your Spirit, so that I will not hunger for the things of the world that will fail me. ”

Declaration: I long for God alone.

Obedience Over Emotion

Scripture: John 14:15

Consecration is proven through obedience. Love for God is not measured by feelings but by submission. Obedience positions us for blessing.

Prayer: “Give me grace to obey, so that I will not live my life based upon feeling, but upon faith in who you are."

Declaration: I choose obedience over convenience.

Removing the Weights

Scripture: Hebrews 12:1

Some things are not sinful; they are just heavy. Consecration requires releasing anything that slows our spiritual progress.

Prayer: “Help me release every weight and lay it aside, so that I may run the race that is set before me. Help me to lay aside anything that slows me down and keeps me from your perfect will for my life. ”

Declaration: I run free in Christ.

Deep Roots, Lasting Fruit

Scripture: Psalm 1:1–3

What grows deep lasts long. Consecration deepens our roots so that fruit remains in every season.

Prayer: “Lord, root me deeply in You today. I realize that the source of strength comes from the roots. May I be rooted in faith and in the source of the Word of God. ”

Declaration: I will bear lasting fruit.

Empowered to Engage the Lost

The Scripture: Acts 1:8

Consecration restores God’s heart for souls. As we fast and pray, God aligns us with His mission.

Prayer: “Lord, give me boldness to be a witness of You today. Create opportunities for me to tell
others of your grace and forgiveness in my life. ”

Declaration: Use me to reach the lost.

Seeing People Through God’s Eyes

Scripture: Matthew 9:36

Consecration softens our hearts. Compassion replaces judgment when we see people the way Jesus sees them.

Prayer: “Give me Your heart for people. Help me to see them the way that you see them, and let me extend mercy and grace along the way. ”

Declaration: I see others through God’s eyes.

Faith Over Fear

Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7

Fear loses its grip in seasons of prayer and fasting. As we consecrate ourselves, faith rises and courage returns.

Prayer: “Break fear from my life! I recognize that you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. I resist the fear that would attempt to attach itself to my life, and I walk boldly
in the authority of Jesus.”

Declaration: I walk by faith, not fear.

Leading Where You Are

Scripture: Nehemiah 2:18

Leadership begins in consecration. God raises leaders who first kneel in prayer.

Prayer: “Use my influence for Your glory. I understand that the gifts that You have given to me are not to be used for selfish purposes, but so that I may selflessly advance Your kingdom. Today, I will use my influence, gifts, and abilities to advance the Kingdom of God.”

Declaration: I will lead with Kingdom purpose.

Strength for the Assignment

Scripture: Isaiah 40:31

Consecration renews strength. Those who wait on the Lord are never depleted.

Prayer: “Renew my strength, Lord. When I feel like I can’t soar, run, or walk, I realize that you are simply in the process of renewing my strength

Declaration: I rise with God’s strength.

Trusting God With Provision

Scripture: Philippians 4:19

Consecration includes our resources. Fasting reminds us that God, not money, is our source.

Prayer: “Lord, I trust You fully as my source. I know that your eyes are upon me, and I will not walk in lack. You are my eternal Father who will provide for every need that may arise in my life. ”

Declaration: God is my provider.

Open Hands, Open Heaven

Scripture: Luke 6:38

What we release, God multiplies. Consecration produces generosity and trust.

Prayer: “Help me live open-handed and always remember that it is indeed more blessed to give than to receive. You provide seed to the sower, as well as for the needs in my own life. I will live my life with a spirit of generosity. ”

Declaration: My hands are open; heaven is open.

Serving Like Jesus

Scripture: John 13:14–15

Consecration expresses itself through humble service. Jesus showed us that greatness flows from humility.

Prayer: “Lord, give me a servant’s heart. I know that you did not come to be served, but to serve others. Give me the joy that comes from serving others today. ”

Declaration: I serve with joy.

Faith in Action

Scripture: James 2:17

Consecration moves belief into obedience. Faith without action never produces transformation.

Prayer: “Activate my faith. Today, I will not sit back and wait on you, but I will go forth in faith, believing that you are my source and my supply. ”

Declaration: My faith is alive and working.

Valuing God’s Presence

Scripture: James 4:8

Consecration creates space for God’s presence. When we draw near, He draws near.

Prayer: “Lord, fill me with Your presence! I desire to dwell in your presence where there is fullness of joy. May my worship today be acceptable in your sight. I will sing unto you, and I will worship you. ”

Declaration: I make room for God.

Worship as Warfare

Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20:22

Consecrated worship shifts atmospheres. Praise releases victory before the battle ends.

Prayer: “I worship through every battle! I will praise you when I feel like it, and I will praise you when I don’t. I will worship you for who you are!”

Declaration: My praise is a weapon.

Expecting Miracles

Scripture: Hebrews 13:8

Consecration renews expectation. The God who worked then still works now.

Prayer: “Do the impossible, Lord. I believe that you are the miracle worker and that nothing is impossible for you. I believe big things from a big God. I will not be discouraged, and I will not fear!”

Declaration: I expect miracles.

Believing for the Impossible

Scripture: Ephesians 3:20

Consecration expands faith. God moves beyond what we ask when we align with His power.

Prayer: “Lord, stretch my faith to believe that nothing is impossible for you. Regardless of how big I dream, you have promised that you can do exceedingly, abundantly above.”

Declaration: I believe for the exceedingly, abundantly above.

A Consecrated Life Going Forward

Scripture: Joshua 3:5

“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” Consecration is not an ending; it is a beginning.

Prayer: I dedicate myself fully to You.
Declaration: I am consecrated. I am aligned. I am ready. I BELIEVE.
