2026 FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE

OPC-Sports Flag Football is a coed summer league. Age leagues are determined by the grade your child has completed for the current school year. Players are placed according to Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS) age requirements, regardless of the school attended or grade promotions/retention.

This page contains important dates, schedules, and league policies. Please read it carefully and keep it for reference.

Registration Fees

KS - 2nd Grade: $100 I After May 22 - $110
3rd - 6th Grade: $105 I After May 22 - $115

Refund Policy
•No refunds after the Coaches Meeting due to uniform orders.
•Refunds before that time incur a $10 administrative fee.
•Hardship situations may be discussed with the Director of Recreation.

UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT

Registration includes:
•Player t-shirt (uniform)
•Player award
•Coach award
•Assistant coach & team parent gift
•Footballs for practices and games
Parents must select the correct shirt size at registration. Reorders due to incorrect sizing will require payment for the replacement.
Uniforms will be distributed to coaches or team parents the week before Picture Day.

REQUIRED PLAYER EVALUATIONS

Saturday, May 30 (Gym)
All players must attend evaluations during their age league time.

Wear tennis shoes (no cleats).
Players unable to attend must schedule one make-up evaluation by appointment. Players who do not complete evaluations cannot be placed on a team.

NEW FAMILY ORIENTATION


COACHES MEETINGS
All volunteer coaches are required to attend:
•Coach Evaluation Training: May 30 - 8:30 AM (then follow eval schedule)
•Coach Training & Roster Pick-Up: June 8 - 6:00 PM

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS


PRACTICES


Tuesdays:
1st/2nd - 5:30 PM
3rd/4th - 6:30 PM

PICTURE DAY


Teams should arrive 20 minutes before their scheduled time. Schedules will be distributed the week prior.

TEAM SERVICE PROJECT

As part of the ministry of Christ United Church, each team is encouraged to complete one service project during the season. Coaches or team parents will provide details.

GAMES

Schedules:
Schedules will rotate between:
•5:30 PM and 6:30 PM games
•Thursday and Friday nights

Game schedules will be available online by the 2nd week of practices.
